Dismantling of power shafts and replacement of protective covers

The external hinge of equal angular speeds does not understand. In the presence of any damages replace a shaft entirely. Both covers are removed from the inside. At long operation it is recommended to replace both covers.

Dismantling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a back power shaft, address appropriate section.

2. Weaken carving collars, cut coupling collars and replace them at installation with carving.

3. Uncover a cover of the internal hinge at the case and shift towards a power shaft as follows:

· Clamp a power shaft in a vice;
· Saw through a hacksaw a cover cover at an angle about 45 ° so that to receive an angular groove.

At the same time do not damage the hinge case;

· Raise the screw-driver the made an incision top a little;
· Take a cover cover tweezers for the acting end and screw so that the cover of a cover separated from the hinge case.

At a navorachivaniye you watch that the power shaft did not drop out of a hinged ring if details are not marked.

4. Wipe a rag hinge lubricant.

5. Vypressuyte a power shaft from the internal hinge on the press. As a lining apply half rings which lean on a hinge fillet. Half rings have the following sizes:

Outer diameter is 50 mm,
Internal diameter is 33 mm,
Length is 50 mm.

6. Remove a cover of the internal hinge from a power shaft.
7. If necessary remove collars of a cover of the external hinge, uncover a cover and remove a cover through a shaft. At the same time you watch that dirt did not get to the hinge. Before removal of a cover remove lubricant from the inside of a cover and enter it into the hinge.
8. If necessary wash out the hinge in gasoline and check holder paths for wear, and also for existence of damages. With strong wear it is necessary to replace all hinge.
9. Clear a back power shaft.


Assembly

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. It is necessary to apply a repair kit to replacement of a protective cover. At long operation it is recommended to replace the second cover also.

2. Put on the assembly plug vents of a power shaft. If such plug is unavailable, paste over vents with a protective film not to damage a cover.

3. Put on a new external sealing ring.
4. Put on an external cover, and also collars.
5. Put on an internal cover, and also collars a power shaft.
6. Put on a new internal sealing ring.
7. Remove the assembly plug and a protective film.
8. Put on the internal hinge a shaft.

9. Clamp a shaft around a cover fillet tightening adaptation or in a vice with protective sponges.

10. Press the hinge of equal angular speeds by means of a drift against the stop in an adjacent surface of a back power shaft. Then a napressuyta the hinge so that the ledge of a back power shaft made 4.2 mm.
11. Clamp a shaft in a vice so that the nave of the hinge adjoined to half rings. Record a shaft stamping. At the same time make new stamping, in the middle between two already available. The corresponding tool with a working part 5 - 6 mm wide is used to stamping.

 For avoidance of damages of paths of swing, for example, owing to a rebound of the tool it is necessary to carry out stamping as it is possible closer to vents.

12. Remove tightening adaptation.
13. Put on against the stop a cover cover the corresponding ring of the hinge.

At the same time do not grease a sealing ring, otherwise later the cover will be turned on a hinge ring. If necessary the ring can be put into place by easy blows of the plastic hammer.

14. Record a cover cover four blows to a circle with a step 90 ° in a hinge case groove. Then pull a cover by means of the hammer in a hinge case groove. At the same time you monitor the correct provision of a cover of a cover.
15. Fill cavities and covers of internal and external hinges of equal angular speeds with MERCEDES lubricant of 100 g. You watch that dirt did not get to hinges.
16. Put on a protective cover a cover so that the sealing ledge of a cover was between cover cover ledges.
17. Put on covers small diameter a thickening of a power shaft so that after installation the flute of a power shaft was not visible. The cover thickening thus is fixed in the first flute of a shaft. Put on collars and fix them.

Screws of collars have to be turned in one direction. On the second cover establish collars so that were displaced on 180 ° in relation to the first cover.

18. Establish a power shaft.
