Replacement of glow lamps of devices of external lighting

Treat devices of system of lighting: headlights, fog lights, back lamps, stoplights, backing lamps, indexes of turns, foggy lamps, lamps of illumination of registration plate and devices of internal lighting.

Exit of the glow lamp is out of operation displayed on the universal display. (The warning system and the alarm system of malfunctions is considered in the Section Precautionary alarm and control lamps, and also messages of the information display on the registered malfunctions).

There is a danger of traumatizing!

Be careful when replacing xenon lamps of high voltage in headlights! Just in case switch off a headlight and disconnect the rechargeable battery. After replacement quickly switch on and off a headlight to remove residual stress. For reasons of safety you wear shoes with rubber soles.

Glow lamps and holders of lamps can be very hot. Therefore before replacement of glow lamps wait for cooling of the lighting fixture.

You store lamps in the place, inaccessible for children.

Do not apply the fallen lamps or lamps with scratches, they can burst.

The glass flask of the glow lamp should not be taken hands. It is the for this purpose best of all to use napkins or cotton gloves. Fingerprints evaporate and besieged on a reflector, obscuring it. Incidentally formed spots on a flask need to be removed by means of the pure, not containing fibers, the towel moistened in alcohol.

Glow lamps need to be replaced only with lamps of the same execution.

Replacement of a lamp of H7: The lamp is under pressure. Therefore it is necessary to put on goggles and gloves.

If after replacement the glow lamp does not burn, switch off and again include lighting. If the replaced glow lamp does not burn also after that, address on HUNDRED "Mercedes-Benzs".

Plastic lenses of headlights have a sheeting. It is impossible to clear at all and the more so to rub their dry rag. It is impossible for this purpose also to apply any cleaners or solvents. Such lenses it is necessary to clear a pure soft towel.

Before replacement of a lamp check that the corresponding switch was switched off.

Passing beam

PERFORMANCE ORDER

For receiving free access to a back part of a headlight lift and establish a back part of the car on supports. Turn off bolts of fastening of a wheel and remove a forward part of a loker of a wing, address the Section Removal and installation of a forward loker covered.

1. Open a cowl.
2. Squeeze levels and uncover the back party of a headlight.

The lamp of passing beam is in the external camera of a headlight.

3. Disunite the socket of a lamp (1).

4. Halogen headlight: Unclench lock clips (2) and take out a lamp.
5. Models with xenon headlights: Press the lock lock, turn a bayonetny ring and take out a xenon lamp from the lamp.
6. Halogen headlight: Insert the new glow lamp so that pads entered the corresponding grooves on the case. Clamp lock brackets.
7. Models with xenon headlights: Insert a new lamp so that the groove on a lamp showed up. Establish and turn a bayonetny ring, at the same time you watch the correct position of the lock lock.
8. Join the socket on a lamp.
9. Establish a cover and record it.

Driving beam

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a cowl.
2. Squeeze levels and uncover the back party of a headlight.

The lamp of passing beam is in the external camera of a headlight.

3. Disunite the socket (1) of a lamp (2).

4. Disconnect a lock bracket (3) and take out a lamp. (4) – parking light.
5. Insert a new lamp so that pads entered the corresponding grooves on the case. Record a lock bracket.
6. Join the lamp socket.
7. Put into place a cover and record it.

Parking light

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a cowl.
2. Press a level and uncover a lamp of driving and parking light.

3. Take out from the device a cartridge (1) with a lamp (2).

4. Take out a lamp from the boss.
5. Insert a new lamp into a cartridge.
6. Insert a cartridge into the device.
7. Put into place a cover and record it.

Forward index of turn

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a cowl.

2. Turn a cartridge (1) with a lamp counterclockwise and take out from the device.

3. Press a lamp, turn counterclockwise and take out from the boss.
4. Insert a new lamp and turn it clockwise.
5. Insert a cartridge with a lamp into the index of turn and record it, having turned clockwise.

The index of turn in exterior mirrors

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove facing of a mirror, address the Section Removal and installation of facing of an external rear-view mirror.

2. Turn out screws (1).

3. Squeeze out outside the index of turn (2) from facing of a mirror. (3) - socket.

4. Open clips (1) and remove a level (2).

5. Take out a lamp (3) and insert a new lamp.
6. Put a lamp level on the index of turn (4) and record.
7. Insert the index of turn into facing of an external mirror and fix. At the same time you watch that the index reached the correct position in facing.
8. Establish facing of an external mirror, address the Section Removal and installation of facing of an external rear-view mirror.

Fog light

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a forward loker, address the Section Removal and installation of a forward loker covered.

2. Disunite the socket (1) of a fog light.

3. Turn a cartridge (2) counterclockwise and take out it.
4. Take out a lamp from the boss.
5. Insert a new lamp into a cartridge, insert a cartridge into a headlight, having turned it clockwise, and join the socket.
6. Establish a forward loker, address the Section Removal and installation of a forward loker covered.

Lamp of illumination of registration plate

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn out 2 screws (1).

2. Take out the lens by means of a plastic wedge from a trunk lid or a door of a back.
3. Take out the damaged lamp spotlights from the plastic holder (2) and replace with new.
4. Check laying of the lens and if it is necessary, replace.
5. Insert the lens and fix him by screws.

Back lamp

In a back lamp the following lamps are located: stoplight, marker light, index of turn and lamp of a backing. In a back lamp on the party of the driver the foggy lamp is located.

1. Open a luggage carrier.
2. Open a cover (6) in facing of a luggage carrier.
3. Disunite the lamp socket.
4. Turn the lock lever and remove a level of lamps.
5. Press a lamp, turn counterclockwise and take out.
6. Insert a new lamp and turn it clockwise.
7. Put a level of lamps and turn the lock lever back.
8. Join the lamp socket.
9. Establish a cover in facing of a luggage carrier.

1. Open a back door. Press a key (1), lower and take out a cover (2).

2. Disunite the socket of a back lamp.
3. Squeeze two lock levels (arrows on an illustration) and take out a level of lamps, at the same time carefully press down a basic pad (1).
4. Press a lamp, turn counterclockwise and take out.
5. Insert a new lamp and turn it clockwise.
6. Put a level of lamps and record it.
7. Join the socket of a back lamp.
8. Insert a cover and record it.

Additional stoplight

The high-located additional stoplight works with special light diodes. At failure the stoplight is replaced in a set.

Sedan

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a luggage carrier and remove facing of a trunk lid, address the Section Removal and installation of facing of a trunk lid.

2. Turn out 4 screws (arrows on an illustration) on lock brackets (1) of an additional stoplight and squeeze out a signal from a trunk lid.

3. Disunite the socket (2) of an additional stoplight.

4. Fix lock brackets (1) on a new additional stoplight (shooters on an illustration. At the same time you watch that lock brackets contracted a little. Bring brackets at installation on a stoplight under an emphasis.
5. Join the socket.
6. Insert a stoplight into a trunk lid so that to exclude damage of a paint and varnish covering. At the same time pay attention to the correct provision of sealing laying.

In need of quality of lubricant apply technical vaseline.

7. Establish into place facing of a trunk lid, address the Section Removal and installation of facing of a trunk lid.

Versatile person

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a door of a back and remove from it facing, address the Section Removal and installation of facing of a door of a back.
2. Remove a back spoiler, address the Section Removal and installation of a back spoiler.
3. Disunite the socket of an additional stoplight.
4. Turn out 4 screws of fastening and remove a stoplight from a back spoiler. At the same time carefully shoot the sealing film from an additional stoplight.
5. Installation is carried out in the sequence, the return to removal.

Sporty coupe

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open a back door.

2. By means of a plastic wedge take out a cover (1) from facing of a spoiler.

3. Disunite the socket of an additional stoplight.
4. Turn out screws of fastening and remove an additional stoplight from a back spoiler.
5. Installation is carried out in the sequence, the return to removal. At the same time you monitor the correct provision of sealing laying.
