Removal and installation of a back spring

Depending on the equipment of the car rubber support of various height are established. When replacing it is necessary to measure height of all support. It is necessary to establish only rubber support of the same height.


Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift and establish a back part of the car on supports.
2. Turn off 2 bolts of fastening (1) of a cover of the spring lever (2). Disconnect a cover and remove it.

3. Bring a garage jack outside under the spring lever and lift it so that the power shaft of back wheels stood horizontally. Apply for this purpose wooden laying.

 When raising the spring lever you watch that the car did not descend from supports. If necessary load a luggage carrier.

4. The spring is strongly clamped. For removal of its spring it is necessary to squeeze in addition so that to unload basic cups. For this purpose it is necessary to use the special device for compression.

The spring should be taken out only in that case when it is reliably compressed by adaptation!


5. Squeeze a spring adaptation. At the same time adaptation has to cover from 3 to 4 rounds of a spring. Squeeze a spring so that cups were unloaded.

On HUNDRED device which is inserted from within a spring is used.


You watch that rounds of a spring were reliably captured by adaptation and adaptation could not slide off. The spring is clamped by big effort therefore it is necessary to use only reliable adaptation. Do not squeeze a spring a wire at all. There is a danger of accident!

6. Turn off the self-stopped nut (1) of fastening of the spring lever (2) and remove it with a washer. Take out a fastening bolt.

7. Pull the lever down and take out a spring with a rubber support.

8. If the spring needs to be replaced, clamp it in a vice. Rotation to the left side remove a rubber support and slowly unload a spring.


Installation

Before installation check a rubber support for existence of cracks or any damages. If necessary replace a support. Clear the region of a prileganiye of a spring on the lever.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install adaptation and slowly squeeze a spring.
2. Establish a rubber support, rotating it to the right. For installation simplification the support can be greased slightly with liquid for washing of ware or glycerin.
3. Insert a spring so that the end of the lower round sat in deepening on the spring lever.
4. Insert a bolt of fastening of the spring lever and screw the new self-stopped nut with a washer, without tightening a nut.
5. Bring a garage jack outside under the spring lever and lift it so that the power shaft of back wheels stood horizontally. Apply for this purpose wooden laying.

When raising the spring lever you watch that the car did not descend from supports. If necessary load a luggage carrier.

6. In this situation tighten a nut of the spring lever the moment of 70 Nanometers.
7. Unload a spring, monitoring the correct provision it in the top rubber support and the lower spring lever.
8. Remove the device for compression of a spring and a jack.
9. Record a cover of the spring lever and fix it by two bolts.
10. Lower the car on wheels.
11. If new details were established, it is necessary to adjust headlights (work HUNDRED).
